missing sundays...

so... something i miss and it became extremely evident how much i truly need back in my life is that constant church i yearn to go to on sundays... on the last day of my visit with amanda i was able to visit a church called the summit... and let me tell you it was good... i literally left sad because i new i would be able to worship with those people anytime soon, it was exactly what i've been looking for here in asheville (too bad they are in wake forest...), but i did find out that i can listen to their sunday messages through podcasts which i'll definitely be keeping up with... but this morning i was so convicted about needing to just pick a church home and commit... so yeah

this morning dude talked about how important it is for us to speak the truth with love, but he was so solid on the fact that we have to get ourselves right with God in order to get people to value what we say at all... it makes since, why would i listen to someone about an area in my life when they are just as messed up as i am? he based most of his scripture out of Matthew 7... you know the whole how can you judge someone for a speck in their eye when you have a log in yours... it was good, but yeah here are the 4 steps he gave (i'm a big list person, so i like these things):

1) Gotta find a balance between challenging and listening
2) Have patience with the pace of God
3) Be personal
4) Get rid of the piggy-ness in your own life (how you react to criticism- hopefully not like ms. piggy from the muppets)
